The Lumeum is located in the former swimming pool of the historic guesthouse Kloster Bethanien in St. Niklausen, in the canton of Obwalden, above Kerns at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level.

The Bethanien Guest House is located in St. Niklausen – on a plateau – a 30-minute walk from Flüeli-Ranft, the place where St. Nicholas of Flüe lived and worked. The panoramic view over Lake Sarnen and the Obwalden mountains is unique.
