In the former swimmingpool
The Lumeum is located in the former swimming pool of the historic guesthouse Kloster Bethanien in St. Niklausen, in the canton of Obwalden, above Kerns at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level.
Nestled in a peaceful setting with views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Sarnen — a place that radiates both inspiration and tranquillity.

Your visit begins here
Here you will find information about the exhibition, personal encounters and space to settle in. The foyer is a meeting place, an introduction and relaxing place, and it also houses our small shop.
The shop invites you to browse. It offers a selection of books on the subject, regional specialities, cards, small gifts and merchandising products related to the exhibition. Many items are related to Niklaus and Dorothee or address themes such as peace, silence and spirituality.
The foyer with the shop is accessible without a ticket and can be visited freely during opening hours.
